SYNOPSIS:

In an alternate 1970s, the Sealgair-Aisling megacorporation have embarked on their latest endeavour: an in-house space program and their inaugural Howard-Chambers deep-space probe, as a publicity stunt for the upcoming re-election campaign of its CEO, Senator Chiquita Olsen.

At the company’s HQ where its mission control operates, a team of scientists lead by the perpetually drunk Professor Frank Quarterflash is contending with a visit from Senator Olsen, when contact is lost with the Howard-Chambers probe. After reconnecting with the probe, they find themselves in contact with Bashoalgophfarc, a Lovecraftian god-like creature with a foul mouth and a fouler mood. A comedy of errors ensue as the being insults the science team and indirectly kills a technician, all the while the scientists attempt to reason with it to no avail. Then, to everyone’s horror, Senator Olson hijacks the argument and demands support for world domination. For a moment it appears that she has won, as she marches off to use the toilet.

Amused by Olson’s arrogance and discovering humankind’s collective insanity via TV, the being teleports the probe back to the company’s building and cuts off communications with Earth, leaving the solar system with a pissed mood. The team of scientists discover the probe where the women’s toilets once stood; the bathroom itself now in low Earth orbit with Olson trapped inside.
